Charity of the Month Program

Junk South is proud to announce the Charity of the Month program. Each month, Junk South will partner with a local charity or non-profit organization to help raise awareness and funds for their mission. Junk South will match up to $20 of all client donations as well as contribute $100 in addition to all funds raised and matched.

The Athens Area Emergency Food Bank

The Athens Area Emergency Food Bank, the first food bank in Athens, is a private, non-profit corporation founded in 1980 by a coalition of area churches, civic organizations, businesses and individuals concerned about our community's hungry people.

The Athens Area Homeless Shelter, Inc.

The Athens Area Homeless Shelter, Inc. (AAHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving homeless individuals and families in Athens-Clarke County, Georgia. AAHS was established in 1986 and was formally incorporated in 1990.

The Ark

The Ark is an outreach center providing emergency financial assistance to the low-income population of Athens-Clarke County and surrounding counties.

Lyndon House Arts Center

Lyndon House Arts Center is operated by ACC Leisure Services as a center of excellence for the benefit and cultural enrichment of youth and adults.

Mercy Health Center

Mercy Health Center provides physical, emotional, and spiritual care for our low-income uninsured neighbors in the Athens area. Mercy exists as an extension of the local Christian community to manifest the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

Athens Area Humane Society

The Athens Area Humane Society is a donor supported no-kill 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to lowering area euthanasia rates through adoption, spay/neuter and pet retention programs.

Hope Haven

Hope Haven strives to prepare, empower, and support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to participate fully in the community.

Keep Athens Clarke County Beautiful

Keep Athens Clarke County Beautiful (KACCB) serves to educate and empower citizens and businesses with the resources to take action as environmental stewards of litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification.

The Athens Nurses Clinic

The Athens Nurses Clinic is a non-profit safety-net health care clinic providing free evaluation, treatment and education for acute and chronic medical and dental conditions to uninsured low-and-no income residents of Athens-Clarke County and the surrounding counties.

Extra Special People, Inc.

Extra Special People, Inc. strives to enhance the lives of children with developmental disabilities and their families by focusing on their abilities - not disabilities. They provide services throughout the year to residents of nine counties in Northeast Georgia. ESP serves individuals with behavior disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, Asperger's, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, Spina Bifida, and many more.
